Schwinn Fixed Wheel Jogging Strollers
Why a fixed wheel jogging stroller?
Jogging strollers with a fixed front wheel that cannot swivel are optimized for those who want to run with the stroller.
At running speed, you don't want the front wheel turning. Doing so would cause the stroller to stop suddenly while you are in the middle of your run. You want a nice, smooth ride that will go with you when you run.
The main differences in these fixed wheel jogging strollers are the size of the wheels. The best jogging strollers have three large sized wheels. The wheels are designed to cover any type of terrain without a problem.
Use these type of strollers for either trail or road running. Of course, you do sacrifice a little in the area of maneuverability with these strollers. But then again, they were not designed for going around tight corners if a shopping mall.
Our favorite example of these kind of stroller is the Schwinn Free Runner LT Deluxe. It has huge 20 inch rear wheels
Other fixed wheel strollers have slighter smaller front wheels. While they are still great for road running, there are not as suitable for trail running. On the other hand, they are a bit easier to maneuver up curbs and around corners. These strollers include the Hope and the Free Runners strollers.
