Safety is of utmost importance, but no matter how well built a bike trailer is, the most important component is a good helmet. Please make sure that you and your child wear helmets when you ride. A child should be old enough that their neck is strong enough to hold their head up, usually after a year old.
Many people ask if there is an age limit for children riding in a bike trailer. Well, there may be no age limit, but there is a weight limit (and that’s not just because it becomes to hard to ride.)
The maximum weight for bicycle trailers is 100lbs, total for one or two passengers. The trailers are not designed to carry a heavier weight so please do not exceed this limit.
