We are located in Gaithersburg, MD, right outside Washington, DC. We have been selling online since 1995 - before online shopping carts even existed, in fact!! Our founders were born and raised in the DC area and still live locally. Despite a competitive online arena, we are more focused than ever on keeping our customers happy and work hard on a daily basis to make sure that happens. In 1995, after a friend of one of our founders told him about a memory foam mattress he had just purchased, we began to sell memory foam mattresses and pillows online and never looked back. We now carry everything from mailboxes to pet carriers and everything in between.

We want to assure you that every purchase you make from Living In Comfort is a secure transaction. Once you are finished shopping and move on to our "checkout" area, you will be transferred to our secure server, which will encode your credit card information and deliver it only to us. You'll know the information is protected when the closed-lock symbol pops into view in the lower right or left-hand corner of your screen while you are checking out. In addition, our website is verified HACKER SAFE and is checked every day.
Checks and Money Orders

Most in stock orders are shipped between 24 - 72 hours after being received. Shipping times for Special Order items such as furniture, beds, mattresses and large items vary - please refer to the product page for more specific shipping times. You can track your package here Track. If the item is not in stock, we will contact you to let you know and do our best to ship it as soon as we can. Living In Comfort will ship your items via UPS Ground unless specified otherwise. Shipping costs for every product can be obtained by using the shipping calculator on each product page. Additionally, you will see your total shipping cost when you enter your shipping address in the shopping cart.
Selecting either 1-day or 2-day shipping is a speedy way to get your order to you; however, it doesn’t mean you will receive your order in one or two days. Most orders that are placed before 2PM EST for in stock items, are shipped the same business day. However, next-day air items are not guaranteed to arrive the next business day. If you need an item the next day, please contact us; we will be happy to help make appropriate arrangements. Please keep in mind that there is no weekend delivery for 1- or 2-day shipping.
If an item is being shipped via truck, the shipping charge will be clearly marked on the product description page. If your order must be delivered to a remote or hard-to-reach location, there may be additional charges as determined by the freight company.
Refused merchandise will incur freight charges for shipping in both directions. In addition, costs involved may make it necessary to charge you a restocking fee for refused items shipped via truck.

At Living In Comfort, customer satisfaction is our number one priority. We do our very best to satisfy every customer, every time - to the best of our ability. Please note that the following policies ensure that you receive only brand new, top quality items.
Unused merchandise in original condition (and in their original boxes or packages) may be returned for a product exchange or a product refund within 30 days of receipt.
Before returning an item , you must get a Return Authorization number by clicking here to ensure proper tracking. (Please note that some items are non-returnable. Prior to making your order, please be sure to check the non-returnable product list below for items that can't be returned.)
Customers will receive a refund for the amount of the product, yet not for the original shipping fee. Unfortunately, we are unable to refund the cost of the shipping. Living in Comfort assumes the "ship to" costs ("free shipping") only on purchases that are not returned. In addition, a 15% restocking fee may apply when returning certain items.
Customers are responsible for shipping items back to us, at their own expense. Our customer service representatives will be happy to give you additional shipping information.
Although the following items are not returnable, they are fully covered by the manufacturers' warranties. The reason they cannot be returned is that they are simply too large or heavy, and in the case of personal-use items, due to sanitary considerations. Additionally, any item delivered by truck cannot be returned.

Defective and/or damaged items will be repaired or replaced at no charge. Claims for defective or damaged products must be made within 5 days of receiving your order, so please open your package and inspect it carefully upon receipt.
After 15 days have passed, defective merchandise is under the manufacturer's warranty. Please read the warranty information enclosed with each product. If you should receive any item that is "defective on arrival", please contact us immediately and we will replace the item at our expense. Defective items will be replaced for the same item only.

Cancellation Fee for Special Order Items
Special order and custom order items such as Mattresses, Beds and Furniture items are subject to a 20% cancellation fee.
Please keep these considerations in mind when making your purchase. If you have any questions as to whether an item is returnable or not, please don't hesitate to contact us.
All items on our website are subject to prior sale and availability. If an item is out of stock we will email you in a timely fashion to notify you. Any item that is listed as "In Stock" on our website is subject to prior sale. Thus we cannot guarantee that the item will be available at the precise time you place your order, nor does its "In Stock" listing constitute a contract of sale. We reserve the right to cancel any order we are unable to fulfill.
