The front wheel is fixed so that the stroller will track easily while jogging/walking. It is simple to "pop a wheelie" and turn in any direction. I was so impressed with this product for the price- it has tons of great storage, and the bottom basket removes easily for those of us who don't need THAT much capacity- my daughter loves it, so far the only stroller she'll tolerate. The canopy is huge for us, as we live in the tropics. The hand position and clearance are great. I find it easy to fold and throw in my car. I have a station wagon, but I really was surprised at how easily this stroller stows. It's a great deal for a geat jogging stoller. If you want a swivel wheel, buy a different stroller.
