It's a fact. Ladders and beds are not the best combination. Kids fall off ladders. What's more, you cannot store toys in between a ladder's rungs. Ladders are great for climbing a tree, but to get into bed? We don't think so.
Instead, the twin loft bed from Berg comes with their special signature staircase. Kids love having their own private set of stairs. Each Berg special staircase has no-slip traction to make sure that kids can play safely and get into and out of bed without worrying about falling. In fact, the Berg special staircase is such a better way to build a loft or bunk bed, it's surprising that it has taken so long for someone to design it.
Even better, each staircase opens up into a neat, secret storage area (four "step" compartments, each 17" deep). Now that everything is put away, look under the bed. Two support columns are actually TEN pull out drawers (23" deep). Who needs a dresser when you have a bed that stores all your clothes?
Finally, look in between the columns of drawers and you will find the perfect place for a desk and chair. The desk includes a drop down keyboard tray. It's like a kid-sized office, a private place where kids can get homework done or use a computer without distraction.
