The extra height will prevent toddlers and large pets from climbing over it. It has excellent features such as automatic closing and a double lock that is easy for adults to open with one hand. This black hallway gate is pressure mounted, but comes with mounting cups and hardware so the gate can be hardware mounted at the top of stairs.
